Alka Sinj

The mural, titled “U sridu” (“In the center”), reflects the essence of the Alka competition,
where riders aim to hit the center of a small metal ring with their lance.
The Alka, a traditional Croatian equestrian competition dating to 1715,
celebrates victory over the Ottomans. It’s a proud symbol of Croatian heritage and a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The mural was painted on the façade of the cinema as part of an initiative organised by the S.K.U.P. organisation.
