Dhampir was created for Forma Festival in Kumanovo and draws on research by the Institute of Folklore, particularly the book Vampires in Macedonian Beliefs and Traditions. Inspired by North Macedonian vampire folklore, the mural reinterprets these myths through a contemporary visual language, while the sun references both the country’s identity and the belief that sunlight destroys vampires.
